ABOUT
I am Dr. Yousif Kadhim Abdul-Amir Al-Haidari, a specialist in Physical Chemistry, with over 35 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic administration. I hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry (Corrosion and Surface Chemistry) from the University of Baghdad (1988), in addition to a Master’s (1982) and Bachelor’s degree (1978) in chemistry.
Since starting my academic career in 1989, I have worked as a lecturer and assistant professor at Al-Mustansiriya University and Al-Qadisiyah University, where I have taught advanced courses such as electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and surface chemistry.
Throughout my career, I have held several leadership roles, including Assistant President of Al-Mustansiriya University for Administrative Affairs, Dean of the College of Science (2010–2015), Assistant Dean, and Head of the Chemistry Department, contributing to academic development and institutional management.
I have participated in numerous scientific committees and conferences, and I have supervised many Master’s and PhD students. My academic work includes more than 20 published research papers in international journals and 2 patents in nanotechnology and photocatalysis, particularly in environmental applications such as water treatment.
I have also been awarded over 60 letters of appreciation and recognition from universities, ministries, and academic institutions in acknowledgment of my academic and administrative contributions.
