Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-21

RIS respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.

What we collect

When you sign in with your institutional email, we store: name, email, university ID. When you fill your profile: bio, publications, interests. When you use the AI assistant: conversation text. We do not collect payment or financial information.

How we use data

• Display your public profile in the directory (if you opt in). • Generate and export your CV. • Improve the platform statistically (aggregated, non-identifying data). • Respond to your inquiries if you contact us.

Public profiles

If you enable public visibility, your profile becomes publicly available and indexable by search engines. You can turn visibility off at any time from Manage Profile.

Third-party services

We use: Google OAuth for sign-in, Supabase for hosting, Scopus / ORCID / OpenAlex for publication data, DeepSeek for the AI assistant. Each service is subject to its own privacy policy.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

Data retention

Profile data is kept while you are a member. On account deletion, we erase all personal data within 30 days — except for publications publicly indexed by external sources.

Your rights

• Request a copy of your data. • Correct inaccuracies. • Delete your account and data. • Pause or permanently hide your public profile.
