Biography

Dr. Naif H. Al-Hardan obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from the University of Mosul (1987) and the University of Baghdad (1998), Iraq, respectively, and his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2011. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN) and the School of Applied Physics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), from 2013 to 2017, and later served as a teaching fellow in the School of Physics, USM, from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, he was appointed Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Physics, UKM, a position he held until 2025. He has authored or co-authored 77 peer-reviewed papers, including three review articles and one edited book. His research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured functional materials and their applications in optoelectronics and chemical/biological sensors. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Medical Physics at Al-Turath University, Iraq.
